  1. I made this tonight, it was very easy to prepare. Smells heavenly… I've yet to taste it. I am serving over brown Basmati rice. The garlic naan bread is always sold out at Trader Joes.

  2. Has anybody made the Dal with dried lentils? My instant pot says to cook brown lentils for 15-20 minutes, so I'm not sure they'd be cooked fully after 10 minutes. Also in my experience if I put red lentils in an instant pot, they turn to mush, but the brown lentils cook great.

Edit – Also I'd think you'd want to adjust the amount of water if you're using dried beans to add a bit more.

And I see the recipe on the website says to use 3 cups of water but you say use 1/2 a cup on the video. I'm confused.

  3. Put a tea towel over the vent, then open. No freaking out, no panic. Just wait for the hot steam to depressureize the pot, and wait for the damp towel to cool. It is hot steam going through the towel… Hang to dry..and voila.

  4. It is wonderful>>>arah.in/rBVl I can make dishes in minutes. What used to take me hours now is incredibly fast. In love with my instant pot. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. It has simplified my life and now I have more free time to do more.

  5. Oh my god,I love love you guys! I’ve been trying to completely change over to being vegan but so many vegan (at least the ones I’ve met) are so uptight and tight lipped and never want to help me. If they do give me anything it just get a book 😳🧐well what book and there’s so much to learn! It’s so crazy just to get a balanced diet. I’ve been so frustrated! So thank you thank you thank you 🙏 times a million and especially for being so funny 😂 it’s 👍🏻 great! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  6. I made the dal recipe last weekend. I found a small Indian market in the next town over and stocked up on all the spices and red lentils. Once it was done cooking, i put the dal in small glass containers. In the morning, I grab a container for lunch and go! I have never had dal so don't know what it's SUPPOSED to taste like but this is delicious. And now that I have all the supplies, the only thing I will need to stock up on regularly are tomatoes and lentils. Thank you for the IP recipes…makes me so happy!

  7. I made the dal and it was sooo yummy! I used dried ginger instead of fresh, no mustard seed, 2 cans of diced tomato instead of fresh, no cilantro, and I used less spices since I prefer mild (I winged the measurements and mixed things based off garam masala & curry powder recipes online since I didn't have them). I'd add maybe a cup more water, though. Mine was very thick & not soup-like

  8. Loved your recipes! They are awesome! Love your style and personality as well! I thought that the mushroom recipe would taste awesome also if we make it with eggplant instead of mushrooms or with both. I have eggplant at home and might try it. A raw version of the mushroom lettuce raps wuld be awesome as well and the sauces would make it super yummy even if it is raw for all of us who like to eat raw food. Love your show! 9. I don't have an instant pot but i do have an electronic pressure cooker, so I made the bulgogi lettuce wraps. Instead of chili sauce I used gochujang. It was fantastic! I will make it again. If I could make one request, would it be possible for your recipes to get the calories per serving listed with the recipe?

  10. Can somebody tell me where is her video how she make seitan from scratch and what brand does she use because everybody else shows their brand and it looks alike edgy veg is the only one that looks like clay when it's raw and the closest to chicken when it's dried up before she fries it everyone else's plus mines is coming out looking wet has happened chicken texture look

  11. I made the dal! It taste soo good^^ i love it sooo easy to make n usually i put coconut milk with it but this recipe taste great without it^^

  12. I always find it interesting that automatically when a company becomes successful and global it becomes evil. That same company if they sell meat it must be humanely treated or they are evil. These evil companies are staffed by people like you and me. Walmart is simply selling what people are buying. People who care about "humanely" treated meat will go to Whole Foods. People that really care about the treatment of animals should just stop eating meat altogether. If the vast majority of Walmart's customers were vegan then they wouldn't need to sell meat or have Burger King in their stores. The fact of the matter is that Walmart is carrying more and more vegan items like Beyond Meat and Gardein Proteins. So when I shop at Walmart I support those products with my dollar. Sometimes its the only place in stock with the product I am looking for. Nothing is inherently evil it's all in the eye of the beholder. Now Walmart is supporting one of my favorite vegan authors Candace… so evil wow!

  13. Hello Candice!!! I was wondering if you can make vegan "pork picadillo"? I have been a subscriber for a while and am so so excited to become vegan and your channel really inspires me!! But im worried about my family recipes and how to change them for me. So thanks!Throw back to your turkey seitan, and veg-nuggets. #subscriberoftheweek

  14. I made mushroom barbecue, it's amaaaaazing!!! It tastes exactly what I love! (And it sounds like PULKOGI when Koreans say this 🙂 ) Thanks for the great recipe!

  15. Thank you for these easy recipes. As a truck driver I’m away from home 5 days a week and I don’t have much spare time. I’ve been looking for EASY, tasty vegan recipes and I can’t wait to try these.
