  1. Thank you for the easy to follow recepie. Few questions : 1. Can I fry the marinated chicken for 2 minutes on each side with some oil in the pan instead of grilling it for 15 minutes ? 2. Isn't 2 teaspoons chili powder A LOT ? (I'll need fire extinguisher in standby for my mouth :O) ) 3. You need to add at least 1/2 tbsp of salt to the sauce.

  2. Chicken Tikka Masala is not an Indian dish. It was develeped by a Bangladeshi immigrant in UK in the 1960s. He modified Chicken Tikka (traditional Muslim dish) by adding gravy and making it more palatable to the british taste. In India the Chicken Tikka Masala we make is the modiefied version of the UK version. ie.more spicy and slightly sour. The original recipe didnt have lemons as the ingredient AFAIK. Chicken Tikka Masala is the unofficial "National Dish of England", because this is where this particular recipe was invented. It is more popular there than here in India.
