I don't get the point of stacking the chicken in the gyro recipe since you're baking it. The whole point of it being on the spit is that the pieces on the end will be cooked first and they can be sliced off and the rest continues to cook. What does putting it into a giant mass accomplish in that recipe other than increasing the cooking time and adding some fake authenticity?
