I made this cake for Father's Day, and oh, it came out delicious! Other times I had made it, if I didn't separate the eggs and beat the eggs whites, the cake came out tasting very eggy. But with your recipe, I beat the eggs and formed the number '8' just like your recommendations and it came out delicious, didn't sink in the middle either. The only changes I made were to add a little bit of vanilla to the whipped cream, and top it off with berries and canned peaches. My husband didn't even wait to get the cake in a plate, he started eating it right out of the cake dish. Mission accomplished!
I always separate the eggs when making a tres leches cake, but I'm definitely trying out your technique next time I make it. Looks amazing!
