How do you remove the sand from the clams? I find that clams have a lot of sand in them so I usually cook them separately then add them to dishes after they have opened.

I am not sure why you choose butter, please use olive oil next time. One more thing, why do you need to add a can of clam juice. Make no sense at all.

A great recipe. I love butter but it seems to me that the Italians use olive oil in this recipe. I'm going to try this as it looks delicious.
