This is an amazing recipe. I tried it at home and I only made one mistake. I was surprised when I found tummy fur in my salmon. Heads up, hide your belly buttons when cooking for delicious salmon.

this is amazing!! i never had actual lox before so i dont have much to compare it to but it tasted pretty fishy to me, not overpowering though which i liked. i added a few drops of hickory liquid smoke since i didn’t have a smoker

Looks delicious! I use a similar method, but instead of a smoker I use liquid smoke in the marinade. I also prefer salt baking them!
