My dad always talks about shooting the annoying squirrels outside his workshop with his pellet gun and cooking them up in a squirrel mulligan. He’s been threatening to do it for as long as I can remember, and I’m nearly 40. 😂
We used to make it in a big ol iron wash pot out in the woods. We put in whatever was brought by participants. A little alcohol prolly got on there too.

I agree with everything you said…. However, I would NEVER peel carrots & potatoes or any other vegetables… Vegetable peels are loaded with nutrients.
Back in the C-RATS days, we would mix it all in a helmet and cook it add some tobacco sauce to it.

My mom called it Mustgo Stew. She'd look at the leftovers in the fridge and say, "This must go, and this must go, and that must go …" and before you know it, dinner was served!😉
Question why not add the spices when you cook the meat? They would Bloom as you cooked the meat and give the meat more flavor instead of just floating in the broth…..
So that's what it is called… I've been making roughly the equivalent of this for many, many years, only I've referred to it as "Garbage Soup" or "Clean Out The Fridge Soup"…! Mine had plenty of Parmesan cheese added at the very end.
