  1. I'm a Vegan Hawaiian. When u come to Oahu, got to Ai Love Nalo, a whole food plant based restaurant on the east end in a town called Waimanalo. They got a tofu poke bowl that's pretty close to the local version. You'll love it.

  2. Any good ideas for subs to the zoodles? I just can't get on board. I've heard some people do daikon radish but I'm looking for something a bit more neutral flavoured.

  3. Candice that looks amazing!

I have a video suggestion – dessert ideas with coconut condensed milk? I just bought 4 cans from Amazon for $2.79 each, amazing!! But now I need to know what to do with them 😅 love your show and recipes! And very excited for your cookbook.

Btw saw your demo at TO vegfest last Friday, you should do more events like that in Toronto!

  4. You are super fun to watch and I love how authentic and silly you are! I'm totally making this. I love things in bowls and I will probably throw in some toasted seaweed for this one and/or maybe some might try marinating young coconut meat in that sauce so it has that "sushi" like texture. Mmmm!!

  5. YUM! Can't wait to try it. Love the marinading tofu idea… my 14 yr old son (vegan) doesn't like the texture of raw tofu. After marinading should I bake it for him or what?

  6. I really love your channel but this isn't poke. Poke isn't a Canadian dish. I wish you had at least acknowledged where it came from. Zucchini noodles and black rice are NOT traditional by any means either. I don't know if you've looked into tofu poke recipes actually from Hawaii but there are some really great ones!

  7. I've still never had a proper poke bowl 🙈🙈 looks super yum though (and its disappointing how many takeout places STILL don't know how to prepare tofu in a way that actually tastes good)

  8. if there was an actual substitute for fish i would absolutely be vegan! i try to stay away from soy, though, so tofu options are a no-go for me. that's always what i struggle with when looking for vegan alternatives- they're rarely as healthy as the real thing. womp womp.

  9. Was awesome seeing you at the vegetarian food festival! I've been following you since 2014 and was too shy to come up and say"hi" after the cooking demo *sigh*. Looking forward to your cookbook!!

  10. Living in Hawai'i a traditional poke bowl, is 2 scoops white rice 1 scoop of poke (marinated seasoned cubed fish there are a ton of different versions of poke and marinates/seasoning for this) and 1 scoop of pickled veggies or Mac salad.. when u come to Hawai'i that's what you get. Not a make your own type of burrito bowls so when you come to Hawai'i don't be surprised when it's not a make it your own type of place. You get whatever type of poke you choose that's already marinated for you.

  12. LOVE LOVE LOVE your recipes!!!! I'm new to your channel and I tried your "egg" salad sandwich the other day… and me and my bro TORE. IT. UP! Can't wait to make this!
