  1. i made the braid with strawberry preserves instead of chocolate chips and the cream cheese filling. i also brushed it with some egg wash before baking it and they turned out delicious! definitely will be making again someday!

    Combine and proof for 2 hours;
    2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
    3 tablespoons granulated sugar
    1 T yeast
    1 tsp baking powder
    3/4 cup warm milk

    Add soften butter (2 sticks) and 1 tsp cream of tartar, then combine with proofed dough.

    Shape pastry and add fillings if desired, then freeze. Bake 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.
