No, these aren't eggplant meatballs. Eggplant gnocchi? With the ricotta and eggs in there, that would probably come closest in describing something destined to be forgotten so quickly, that it hardly needs a name of its own.
In general, it looks like a poorly thought out dish. Spaghetti squash tastes little like pasta and pairs poorly with tomato sauce, and why would they put the soft eggplant balls on top of the firm, slightly crisp threads of sweet, slightly bitter, squash? The softness of the balls will only be accentuated, that way, as it will be by the thickness of the marinara. The bottled marinara.
Who puts gnocchi or anything like it on a bed of anything? These guys, I guess, but it's not a good choice.
Pretty cool recipe until you see they add bottled “marinara” sauce: YUK. Do yourself a favor and make your sauce from scratch.
