As a Thai, Iโve tried this fusion recipe and itโs absolutely become one of my favorite recipes!
Ingredients
4 cups of cornflakes
butter 6 tsp
sugar 1/3 cup
whole milk 2 1/2 cups
thai tea 1/2 cup
5 egg yolks
1/2 tsp salt
cornstarch 3 tbsp
sugar 1/2 cup
butter 2 tbsp
chocolate hazelnut
coconut flakes 2 tbsp
Where can you find thai tea leaves/dust without that annoying, staining food coloring?
Is this considered no-bake even though the tea has to be steeped? Just wondering!
We've made this every year since this video came out for Thanksgiving and sometimes Christmas. And we're doing it again this year! It's sooooo good and different from the traditional pies… and it's gone by the time we leave. Haven't had a piece to take home with us yet. Just want to say thanks to the creator of this pie! Yummmmmers
I would love to try this one!
I really wanna make this but I was wondering if there's a vegan version of this dish that I can do. Planning on making this for some friends who are vegan.
I've made this twice and it is always delish! ๐โค๏ธ๐ค
P.S. I also found the roasted coconut doesn't add anything. I made one with and one w.out coconut and there was no noticable difference.
can we bake this pie before chill it ?
I made it for the holidays, the cornflake crust probably could have used more butter to keep it together but the pie itself tasted exactly like a Thai tea frap. The flavor was like something I would expect from a shop on the streets of Silom in Bangkok. Thank you for sharing the recipe
Iโve never made a pie in my life, but If I did, this would be the one!
I wanna try this with chai…
bye yโall
forgot rice ๐ฎ
I'm Thai and when I saw that chocolate hazelnut spread I was like โhold my somtumโ
I just made this today for my friends-giving potluck and it was amazing!!! I have been wanting to make this for like a year, so glad I did!
Just a little note, when I went to spread the Nutella on the crust, it kinda wouldn't stay down and started to break the crust so I had to put too much on to keep it from breaking. If I make this again, I will warm up the Nutella a bit so it's less viscous and sticky.
BOI WHERE YOUโVE BEEB?!?!
Heโs saying โThai tea pieโ so much that it makes the whole narration sound like a tongue twister ๐
YOU!
I made a version with some raspberry tea, super good! Really any tea works I think
I just made it, my thai tea and egg was chunky, the crust fell apart, and it doesn't even taste like thai tea. If anyone has any tips can you help me out
I like this recipe, very original and creative
mY goodNESS I JUST REALIZED THIS WAS PUBLISHED ON MY BIRTHDAY HOW DID I NOT-
Could you make this with Indian Tea instead? Also do you have to use Nutella and Coconut flakes?
My life has been changed for the better thanks so this video
I remember making this on Christmas and forgot to add in cornstarch whenever we had to add the egg in, so I said that I DID put cornstarch and when no one was looking put the cornstarch in to help thicken it up xd, but it turned out great! 10/10 would make this pie again
has anyone made this? so curious about the nutella…
2:09 this is art

YOOOOOOO I LOVE THAI TEA
Can it be frozen once prepared? If not, how long can it be left out before serving?
I'm just curious, but for the "cornstarch" @ 1:17 is another alternative ingredient you can use? I'm not really a big cornstarch fan. Please and thank you!
Can it vegan?
This sounds awesome
