  1. Manjula ji, i love your recipe. Works like magic for basmati rice. But could you tell me the proportion of water to add for Sona Masoori rice? I tried 1:2 with Sona Masoori but it did not really work. Sona Masoori needs more water and time I presume. Could you tell me how much more? Thanks!

  2. Hi — I've always seen this made with cooked rice, and also with curry leaves, and a base of urad daal, red chilies and onions.  I understand you don't cook with onions, but can you comment on the pre-cooked vs fresh-cooked rice?  Thanks
