For people who don’t have access to liquid smoke I used bbq sauce. I’m not vegan though so I’m not sure if it’s vegan but I’m sure there are some out there.

Just made this. It was very good. I made the 'sauce' last night and had to leave before making it. It thickened up in the fridge. I could have scraped more of the seasoning off as it almost had too much flavor. Will try again as this was really great.
I'm allergic to pork. Really miss bacon. So far, I have been unable to find the rice paper.

I just made these with brown rice spring roll wrappers and white rice bring roll wrappers the brown rice seems to hold up better and rice white rice seems to get crispier. I made both with double and then made a white rice single layer which baked super fast and crispy. Since the recipe wasn't posted and the link didn't work for me I just guessed at the amounts I use the fourth a cup of soy sauce 2 tablespoons of maple syrup 2 tablespoons of oil a fourth a cup of nutritional yeast a teaspoon each of smoked paprika garlic powder pepper and Liquid Smoke

Another quick tip! I take the two rice paper sheets literally dip them in water and slap them together. They stick together immediately and THEN I use the kitchen scissors to cut strips. These were great! There are different options for different uses – rice paper, mushrooms, eggplants, unsweetened coconut shreds. Find the one for the use you love. This one is a keeper!
I would dip the rice paper and water shake it then put it together saves a lot more time
Thinking I will cut it after all the water & marinade is on….seems faster, it’ll be more uniform and faster! I’m new to your channel (haven’t subbed yet) and feel like I wish I knew you better, you didn’t seem yourself on camera…your authentic self would resonate more (IMPO).

Zowie! This is the BEST crunch non-bacon, bacon I've tasted! Definitely gonna make more of this one! Low calorie, tasty and crunchy. I've only just made and tasted it, so will try out the softening in a container and start wrapping everything in rice paper bacon! THANKS! One deviation, in your cookbook you added ACV (apple cider vinegar), but not in the online version, I didn't add ACV and this was GREAT!!!
