I made this for dinner tonight. I used Rotel tomatoes and hatch green chilis for the jalapeño. It was absolutely delicious. Wife approves.
Since I usually save the rendered fat from cooking bacon – I think I would put the fat trimmed from the pork shoulder in with the bacon to allow it to render down
at the same time. Also, how many times have you cooked a pork shoulder (pork butt) on this show and made the mention of not knowing why that particular cut
is called that ? I know, that in the past, I have explained it at least three times. Do you just want to continue to "act" dumb for people that are too stupid to find out
the reason behind the name ? There are plenty of ignorant people that watch this show…..and they often comment – and show just how ignorant they are…….
