  1. Watched the video & made the recipe by your website’s instructions. The brownies were bland & the texture was not great. Baked for 35 mins & they are more of a ‘chewy’ rather than a ‘fudgy’ brownie. Im not new to baking & i used quality ingredients, it just wasn’t a pleasure to eat.

  2. I've been following you since 2012, I remember you said the brownie batter should almost look like chocolate mousse before going into the oven. This recipe is so easy and looks yum

  3. These are sooo good. And very easy to put together! Aunt flow is in town and I needed brownies, but not with too much work involved haha. I substituted the instant coffee for a tbsp of fresh brewed espresso. They came out just perfect. Thanks Laura!

  4. Didn't like them so much compared to the original recipe which was phenomenal.
The cooking time and temperature here seems like it's not enough to cook them through, mine were liquid in the middle even after cooking for additional 10 minutes. Taste and texture was also not the best, I will stick to the original recipe henceforth!

  5. I made this today and it's soooo good! I used to follow Laura's chewy brownies recipe but I think this is going to be my new fave!

Some modifications that I did since I ran out of white sugar was to use:
    – 1/2 cup white sugar
    – 1 cup brown sugar
Plus I added 1 tbsp of melted unsalted butter.

The sides and top layer turned out to be crusty and a little crispy, and the inside is soooooo fudgy!

  6. My brownies are very similar to this but I do a mix of dark brown sugar and white sugar. I feel like it gives it extra flavor and most importantly I use melted & chopped orange chocolate (like Terry’s chocolate orange or Lindt). The added hint of orange is out of this world. It’s a huge hit around Christmas!

  7. Made these within hours of watching this and they are SO GOOD. My husband ate one and said, “Wow.” I substituted 2 tbsp regular coffee for the instant espresso and it worked great. Thanks for all the great recipes, Laura 😘

  8. Looks delish ❤ That's how I like my brownies, cam't deal with dry and overcooked brownies, makes me sad. We make our brownies from a recipe online (the girl's blog is Jane's Patisserie I think) and you melt the butter with the chocolate and have to wait for that to cool before you add it to the fluffy beaten eggs. They are amazing. Your version is so much simpler though, I need to try it!

  9. These look so good but I'm going to have to chance it and cook at 350 for 30 minutes because of my son's egg allergy and everything has to be baked that way for no allergic reactions.

  10. How about an updated Chewy Brownies recipe… Your previous chewy Brownies have been my go to all these years .. everyone wanting a updated Chewy Brownies recipe do drop a comment or like
