Iโd have to put half the mixture in the tin then a layer of blackberries, followed by the other half of the mixture and topped with the rest of the blackberries and sugar. Donโt know why, but I would.

Hi! I tried to bake this recipe tonight, I didn't have limoncello so I used some fresh lemon juice instead, and instead of it being a smooth thick batter it just curdled and didn't turn out. Am I not able to use straight lemon juice? Thank you!

I made one this afternoon – devoured by la mia famiglia, so I made another one tonight but used pitted cherries instead of blackberries as I had no more blackberries in the refrigerator. The second cake was delicious as the first. The lemon zest and limoncello really make the cake sing. Thanks for the great recipe.

This may seem really random but I really want to thank you Laura. It's because of you and other youtube chefs like chef John and helen rennie that a 13 year old me in 2012 got interested in cooking and over time developed it into one of my true passions in life. I recently bit the bullet and quit my job i was unhappy at and am finally going to pursue my passion in the food industry. Again, really random but i felt the need to extend my gratitude for the person you are and what you do
It is so heartwarming and refreshing in this world today to hear someone so young express love and appreciation for their ancestors and also to teach your daughter the same ways. Thank you for expressing the feelings you have. It makes me think there is still some hope for this world. Young people can learn from you. Thank you for your honesty !keep it up!
