  1. i never cooked peppers before but was surprised it's pretty fragrant and sweet tasting, after cooking it thoroughly. takes a while though. ive only had experience with peppers from take out food that are bitter and crunchy, essentially raw. i guess it makes sense they dont have the time to properly whittle them down on demand.

    I have a Romanian/Hungarian background and so I make a a very similar dish called letcho (pron. leh-cho) but without garlic or basil, which is your Italian touch. I add a few more tomatoes and salt to taste and make it as a side dish. Very similar and also delicious.
