  1. I made this years ago and it was so good. Just made it again for the 1st time in years and I its way soupy then the last time I made it…of course I used gluten free noodles this time cause I have too so maybe that's why?

  2. Made this recipe numerous times, loved it, and was so bummed when I developed a sensitivity to dairy. NOOOO! A few experiments later, here's my recommendation for what you sub to get as close to the same flavor and texture to the original: Follow the instructions exactly except skip the flour and the milk. When adding in your cheese, use either Dairy Free cheddar cheese block shredded (I use Daiya Vegan Cheddar Cheese Block 7.1 oz) OR one bag pre-shredded cheese (I use Violife Mexican blend 8 oz), plus a tablespoon of dairy free cream cheese (I used Tofutti). Takes longer for the cheese and sour cream to blend in vs real cheese but I tried it and was like YESSS!!! Lactaid wasn't enough to make this a safe meal for me, but sub out/add in the DF ingredients for your cheese and milk substitutions and it tastes so good! Love that I can make this again.

  4. This is another family fav dish I just made it know so tomorrow when my son comes home and has to leave in 30 minutes there a tasty dinner and all he has to do is heat it up I also like to add peppers or spinach .My hubby took a dish said he couldn't wait till tomorrow haha

  5. Guys i always make her recipes and they turn out perfect…..howcome the quantity of pasta wasint sufficient???
    I added and it tasted great but does jt felend on the shape kf your pasta like i used rigatoni….

  6. If you have a bell pepper in the vegetable crisper — and it's on the verge of getting "no so crispy" so you want to add it into the mix — when? With the onion and garlic? Right before the broth and other liquids are added? Right before the pasta is added? I'm guessing Door #2, but I'm only guessing here.

  7. Just wanted to drop in and say how much of a hit this has been. I make it for my kids weekly. Have served it to friends and family who now make it for their friends and family regularly. It’s delicious.

  8. Made mine but used too much water and bowtie or farfalle which was smaller but it was still delicious! So much better than the box mix. Next time I may add some leftover roasted veggies. Such an easy dish. I also used some leftover spagetti sauce in it.

  9. Made it and just served to my husband. He said "mmmm-mmm" as he ate it and asked for seconds. Also said he will never eat the boxed stuff again.
