  1. Bacon is not in it! And the bun hogie roll to accommodate the big 3/4 pound dog bell peppers and onions and all the condiments in the side don’t further the crush cheese soft or whipped. Been here my whole life. But it looked good!

  2. Ppl often confuse bees with yellow jackets. Yellow jackets are more swarmy than bees. Being a bee lover and yellow jacket hater, i try to educate as much as possible to preserve bees and eradicate yellow jackets. Bees sting cuz they have to; yj's sting cuz they can, over and over and over, like little jack hammers. They bite, then jack hammer the bejesus out you.

  3. My family used to make a version of this with hot dogs, stuffed with velveeta, wrapped with bacon and broiled so the bacon was crispy and cheese melted. Very yummy. My cheese preference is different now but every few years I make it. Not a fan of the chewy texture of bagels.

  4. Thirty years ago we took it in a little different twist outside the Kingdome and then SafeCo field. Smoked polish and Kielbasa on a stadium roll, or outdoor roll. I think gay Matt came up with the “carmelized” onions that made the Seattle dog famous by Randy Stevenson and Neil Burgess. Kingdome, Polyesters, Safco Field. Now on Occidental at the entrance to the Seahawks stadium. Seattle Sausage. Check it out if you get a chance. BTW, nobody does the bagel in thirty years. We fixed it and made it better.

  5. An everything or onion bagel with cream cheese and bacon is my favorite.
    However, I like to switch it up and add fried ham which is delicious. Recently I tried it with taylor ham (pork roll) and WOW!!!

    So I'm sure that Seattle Dog is probably fantastic!!!!

  6. Had a moment of fright as you were getting ready to proof the buns, I erroneously thought you were going to put them right on the oven. I was so grateful when you took them, boiled them like a good bagel MUST BE and then baked them. Perfect!

    Yes, polish dogs, and if you've not tried them, Tony Packo's hungarian dogs are so much better than the shmutz that Americans prefer.

    There are however two exception to that I indulge in: A good Hebrew National or an original, skin on, NY Sabret!

    Another bagel and cream cheese bit of yumminess you might want to try is Chili! So yummy! But hey, you can't ever go wrong with a bagel and cream cheese base! Bagel and a shmear, not just for tomato and lox anymore! Lol.
