Just had a few to celebrate the Fourth of July in Tucson, Arizona.
YOU MISSED THE CHEESE.
Heres the tea from a Tucsonan who eats these on the regular. Beans and grilled onions go on the bottom, the bread was not right but will do. Ditch the cumin in the sauce and add mustard to the top. Chipilon style; grill the bun coated with garlic salt and add cheese.
Go for pico instead of the straight tomatoes

Yeah, it's going in a bun, but not a regular hot dog bun, or other type of seemingly appropriate substitution, for there is none, but instead a specialized bolillo bun! The Sonoran Hot Dog is such a succulent treat that we will not be able to maintain its secret much longer, and it will break out of our little area, and spread farther, and farther, and unfortunately, there will be victims. Victims who believe they have tried a Sonoran Hot Dog when they have yet to have the experience of a Sonoran Hot Dog!!! Truly a shame that so many shall remain ignorant!

That looks pretty good. I saw a video of a lady cooking recipes from a 1960 cookbook its called bacon big boy,,, Basically, it's a hot dog in a bun with a lot of cheese and mustard. And the whole thing is wrapped in bacon.
And then Baked in the oven, you guys should try that one..❤

Easy way to make the jalapeño salsa like the hotdog stands here is buy a can of jalapeño put the whole can in a blender add garlic powder and lime juice and blend it , and for the grilled onions add a shot of mustard and ketchup thats how they're made and you're missing a creamy quacamole optional. But yea great job and for those who dnt kno where to get the bread comment below ill tell u where
