YOU WON’T BELIEVE WHERE WE MADE THIS INSANE PHILLY CHEESESTEAK… 🤤✈️ | SAM THE COOKING GUY

We were lucky enough to be invited to Korean Air Headquarters in Seoul and even managed to make a Korean-style Cheese Steak Burrito – in the hangar – and in front of a Boeing 737! 🤤✈️

We really just have one goal – to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.

If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin – then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.

Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️

  1. Sam!!!! Cheesesteaks don’t come with peppers that is not a “Philly” Cheesesteak. You can ask for peppers but it’s rare that people actually do. That is not a Philly normal. People from Philly like myself truly hate when people not from Philly think that peppers belong on cheesesteaks. Never in my 45 years of life have I ever had or seen ANYONE get peppers on a cheesesteak literally ever! Carry on good sir love the show.

  2. The funny thing about Philly Cheese Steaks the worst ones are in Philly. I tried both places in Philly that were supposed to be the original or best and were both disgusting. Philly uses Steakums and liquid cheese. EW

I have had better cheese steaks in Upstate NY, CA and in NC even when I get them made by grocery stores. FR

  3. Sam looks good. But please stop calling it a philly cheesesteak. Just call it a cheesesteak. Even without all the Korean additions, philly cheesesteaks don't come with peppers either!

  4. I wish I would’ve had that translation app when I lived there. I had to figure out what things were in the grocery store. Gochujang is indeed delicious and it’s used a lot there, in so many dishes but my favorite was bibimbap. Anyway this looks delicious.

  5. I'm from South Jersey, and the best Philly Cheesesteak I ever had was at a place in Kristiansand, Norway. I know. I couldn’t believe it, either.

  6. So wagyu literally means Japanese beef, so it makes sense why the beef you got wasn't wagyu. With that being said, I'm sure your beef was hanwoo which is Korean beef. Korean beef is also known for its marbling.

  7. Looks great but not close to a philly cheesesteak. In Philly, we use diced onions, whiz or provolone, mushrooms if you like and marinara sauce. Rolls are extremely important. And the peppers you use are cherry peppers or a pepper relish that you add after its served.

  8. 🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩In America, beef is usually butchered into 22 distinct cuts. But in Korea, beef can be butchered into up to 120 cuts of meat! 🥩🥩🥩🥩🥩Serious stuff!🥩
So, what does that Korean pepper paste taste like? It is hot? Sweet? Smokey? How do you spell that word? Is it good? What is it for? Did the most marbled meat in the world need it?
My girlfriend, Svetlana, and I decided to go to a high end Korean BBQ restaurant in North Toronto. There were no instruction on how to cook the raw food for ourselves. So, I put all the veg on the chimney hot plate with the unseasoned meat. The owner was glaring at me…so, I guess I was doing something very wrong. Never mind. I was attempting to grill some thing edible. Plus, I was very much looking forward to tasting the very famous kimchi that I had known about for decades and tah-dah here it was! Ugh! Why does it taste so bad? Then we were served a salad…yuck! What is that orange stuff? It tastes horrible…my girlfriend figured out they added caviar to everything, she is a Russian, and she did not like the caviar either….the salad and kimchi! Yuck! We hated it. $70.00 later we left and hurried to the nearest McD’s to purchase something edible to eat! So, I am now dubious about going to any new restaurant for fear of wasting any more 💵money! 💵
Same thing happened with Japanese food! We sent every dinner course untouched back to the kitchen where I am sure the staff loved the food! And to McD’s we went! The waiter, shocked, asked why? We replied, “we did not like the food!” And walked out! 🍽
