  1. Dammit Sam… I was yelling at the TV, cause I'm an idiot and I didn't realize that you couldn't hear me.
    But I was like, neighbor, you can't get no decent hush puppies without you get just a touch of baking soda in along of your dry ingredients, but you done went all the way off the tracks by going with milk instead of buttermilk. However as The Dude was known to say…
    That's just.. Like my opinion man

  2. I was so distracted by such an obnoxious Tesla.
    You must a lot to buy a piece of shit Tesla.
    Then again look at your cooking setup and sponsors.
    Good videos, yet crap everywhere else.

  3. This preparation really takes the dish away from its southern roots with the batter consistency. That’s fine though, this interpretation looks fantastic too. I actually prefer an east coast fried fish prep over a southern cornmeal.

  4. I tried the Hushpuppy fish at Arby's a couple weeks ago. It was good – I liked them….but, you are correct, they did come out pretty greasy.
    Not to worry – the go to hack for the greasy fish…..lay down three or four napkins – put the fish on top – a couple more napkins, and push gently
    to squeeze out the excess oil. The napkins soak up the oil and the fish is still hot and crispy.
