This has been my go to chili for years. It’s so great! I recently been tweaking it a little with amazing results. I deglaze with Bourbon instead of beer. Add a TSP of smoked paprika. 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, finely chopped with a spoonful of the adobo sauce. Try it if you like a little sweet heat!
My husband is allergic to bell peppers so thanks for removing it from this recipe.

I started adding cilantro, feta cheese and goat cheese to my chili. It adds so much to the flavour.

We just made this. It was honestly the best chili we’ve ever had! We used breakfast sausage instead of Italian. Ended up with a subtle sweet flavor we loved!
