No yeast, no sugar!!! Incredible. Thank you for sharing this.โค๏ธ
This came out heavy and chewy. I didn't really like it.
Always love watching Laura … and this was one of the most fun vids of all!
whole world uses milk. you: the leftover of butter making
Love watching you cook!
We love you Laura exactly the way you are!! I can't wait to try this over the weekend, it looks so easy!!! thanks again!!
Laura I love Irish Brown Soda bread but Iโm gluten intolerant. Any chance you could alter your recipe for me ?
Jesus loves you he died on the cross for your sins. All you have to do is believe in him and you will be saved. โค

Can you do a salmon burger recipe with some kind of sauce/aioli? ๐
Yum!! Looks delicious! Just in time for St Patrick's day! ๐๐
Proper Irish soda bread is made with just plain flour, baking soda, salt and buttermilk with the addition of wheat flour or bran for a brown soda cake.
Believe it or not, st Patricks isn't as big in Ireland as it is here in the states! Don't get me wrong, they have lots of fun and celebrate the holy day, but here in America, it's huge and irish people will tell you it's not like that back home!
๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ Every time you taste your own food you crack me up !!!
Now that looks really good.
Wow this looks amazing!! Immediately going to try making this tonight. Thank you Laura!
Betcha some raisons would be nice in there! Yummy ๐๐๐๐
This looks fabulous!
Amazing bread..looks delicious
it is great also with cream cheese and smoked salmon
Hi Laura , so we don't have to leave it after kneading to rest or rise ? Staight to the oven I notice you did .
The cross is to let the divil or some say to bless the bread. I was always thought to pierce each quarter with a knife to let the fairies out so they wouldn't mess up your bread ๐ฎ๐ช๐
In Northern Ireland we call it wheaten bread! Itโs my fav thing with a bowl of stew๐ฅฐ
Nice
Love the video and love seeing you be you!!!!
Good video ๐๐ป
Ahhh the moment you dipped the bread into the butter is the most I have ever related to anybody else ahaha
Thank you for this recipe, it's look so good๐
Everyone is Irish on St. Pats day – plus my BD is the day before – just one more reason to celebrate.
I have made similar yeastless breads before and this one looks like a winner – Thanks!
Enjoyed watching this video ๐
Loving this series, Laura!
You are truly sweet and funny. I'll make it, I'll make it already…lol. I love soda bread. Thanks Laura…live!!, why don't cha….๐
Awesome video!๐ธ
I will make this for sure! Thanks!
One of your best, Laura ! I'm 77 and was raised on yeast-free hot biscuits (I still sometimes roll the dough flat, coat with butter, walnuts, brown sugar and cinnamon, roll and cut to make yeast-free cinnamon buns with a brown sugar glaze), scones of every varietyโsweet or savory and soda breads.
They all are the best, and your clear enjoyment of that lovely loaf smeared with butter left me laughing …
the cross, lets the divil out …..but in essence the cross is to make sure the centre is cooked ๐
Gosh that looks,so,good, I need to make it.
Sounds yummy. Just be yourself. If someone doesn't like it. It is their problem . I love your show . Keep it real.
IRISH BUTTER GOES WELL WITH IRISH SODA BREAD!
Thank You for Making this……I will be making this on Sunday
My family Love when I cook your recipes ๐
Looks lovely but itโs not Irish Soda bread! No molasses, sugar or baking powder in a proper version.
On my first trip to Ireland, my first memory (coming off of a night flight into a cold and rainy Shannon airport) was a delicious bowl of piping hot Irish vegetable soup (not like what we have) and warm brown bread with soft Irish butter….ranks in the five best meals I've had on vacation!
It was like a big hug!!! I could literally eat this everyday for every meal (but alas, I am not that ambitious…though you are inspiring me). This has to be a St Patrick's day keeper along with Irish Soda Bread (that has to be my Aunts recipe I've made for 40 years..family tradition there)
Thank you ๐.
in ireland we use treacle instead of molasses
Can you please please make Guinness Stew Please Please
Thank you Laura.

This looks like a lovely bread but it isn't Irish Soda bread, we do not put sugar or molasses in it. It is just buttermilk, plain flour and wholemeal flour and bicarbonate of soda.
From a Irish gal, that looks fab! Hope you get to experience it here in Ireland sometime, with Real Irish butter! Happy St. Patrick's Dayr everyone โ๏ธโ๏ธ
