This is another perfect recipe for Summer and a new favorite of mine! Usually a pork shoulder requires a long, low & slow cook…not today my friends, not today!

We really just have one goal – to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin – then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️

“…and you can kiss my ass.”
We're having fuk'n salad?! I almost pooped my pants!!!
My wife and made this almost every other week since this video. We loved this. We subbed the pork for chicken thighs (yes Max) and it was great. Love your recipes.
It's pork steak….that's grilled all the time
Never ever have I thought of cutting up a pork butt like this to make steaks. Always thought it had to be cooked lo low and slow essentially over night. Waking up in the morning you have put the proper seasonings on before it hit the oven and you Carnitas the next day. Which is not bad but I am so thrilled to see the way you have expanded the culinary options for this piece of meat. Kudos!!
Just made this for the family and it turned out fantastic! They especially loved the pork steaks. Never grilled pork before without a precook in the oven. Can’t wait to make this again.
Cut them into little cubes spice them up than on skewers ! Been doing that for ages !
Leave it to the Government to F'ck up everyone's pork… LOL That made me laugh..🤣
I'll bet pork shoulder could be great as a fajitas too, great content
Buttermilk instead of coconut milk 🥥
Made it… not for me. I love grilled pork shoulder steaks though. Keep giving me new ideas!
It’s actually a standard in German barbecue. You can buy „Schweinenackensteaks“ (basically the same cut) in every supermarket, absolutely delicious.
Oh man… you torched the pork behind the scenes and didn’t disclose it… next time take the torch out of the shot.
Who actually fell for Sam’s Sales gimmick aa couple weeks ago when he said he was “giving” away “free” 5 wagyu steaks to 5 lucky winners? He said I was “selected” to receive one of those steaks, and all That needed to do was select the shipping method that was best for me by choosing from choices he provided. The shipping costs were between $150 – $200 to ship my “free” steak! I laughed so hard i almost pooped my pants! Thanks Sam, but no thanks! Fuckin scammer!
“80° and toasty” laughs in Texan
Yummy!
I remember growing up on pork shoulder steaks marinated in teriyaki. Dad cooked the ghost out of them and hate them lol. Charred and dry.
Max is such a fancy bowl boy!
How long is the marinating time for the meat? Thanks in advance and love your cooking by the way.
did he put the dressing in it
Of course Sam would specify “Pork Butt”. Pork BUTT*, also known as Boston BUTT, is a section of the Pork Shoulder (top part closer to spine). Clean tasting AND best of all… TONS of marbling. Make the best Steaks. And Fantastic for making Mexican Carnita Tacos and Pulled Pork for anyone not on a diet (high fat and taste).
* Called “BUTT due to what the pork used to be stored in NOT because it comes from that part of the pig. “A Butt Load”. = Barrel Load
didn't you do a pork shoulder gyro-style video? can't believe I didn't "save" it! 🙂
How to make dressing? Thanks
We made your chicken with sun dried tomatoes the other day, it was delicious. Today I bought a pork shoulder at Aldis. This is my next victim.
You complain about 80 last week it was 104 here in Austin. Then the rains came, and then floods. Don't complain about 80 it makes you look childish but then again that's why it's so expensive to live there. Because it's beautiful weather and I like it
My husband is allergic to coconut so what can I use instead of coconut milk because that sounds like something I could do but like I said my husband is deadly allergic to coconut and pecans
in the mid-west, we call these "pork steaks"… we love em !!!
Sure Sam knows, but filming order & all; never dress (add liquid) to your salad until service. Throw salad/dessert plates in freezer, & hot entree plates in warm oven!Timing & plate temp are game changers!
👏👏👏👏👏
I was not enthusiastic at all…..!
Schnucks Grocery started selling "Pork Steaks" in St. Louis in the 1950's. We've been eating them all our lives in the Flyover states. Grew up eating Pork Steaks slathered with Maull's or Show-Me Sauce. This is not a surprise
Don't know if I watch Sam more for the great cooking ideas or comedy….good stuff
Just tried the salad. Well, everything was fine until we tasted the salad….OMG…. It was so hot and spicy. We used just half a teaspoon of that Chile spicy oil….. The salad was just too spicy. If you do it, just skip the chilly oil….or just reduce the quantity to a few drops.
Just made this and it turned out great. Thanks Sam.
Waiting for the No Bullshit Here! T-shirt
Literally 68-72 degrees is my preferred temp
It's always sooo good
That grilled pork steak would be great as is as a main item along with some macnchee, asparagus, or something similar
New shirt logo please! “No Bullsh*t Here” 😬😬
Made it last night. It turned out perfect. Keep your great dishes coming.
Have you guys just given up on bleeping your swearing? 😂😂😂
I can't wait to make this!!! Looks fantastic! Thanks, Sam and boys!
The meat playing off the greens is synergistic.
Both courses are all the better for it.
Making it this weekend.
Have forwarded to my 12 year old who will be very stoked. (If that is still a thing).
Edit: Made it! Feeding only 3 so started with precut shoulder steaks. Garlic and ginger added to the dressing. Green onion, peanut and cilantro garnish.
This was phenomenal
We northern plains folks have been butchering our own pigs for generations, and before it was cool to smoke whole butts for pulled pork, and out of necessary thriftiness, we always had the shoulders sliced into steaks. Best. Damned. Bite. Out. There!
Never disappointed!
In Nebraska we grill pork steaks all the time. They are pork shoulder steaks we get from grocery store, We like using Sweet Thai chili sauce on ours. love your content!!!
