  1. My grandmother added raisins and nuts to meatballs. My mom only does raisins because some of us have nut allergies and others just don't like nuts. She also makes them without raisins so people have a choice. The ones with raisins she doesn't shape into a ball. She shapes them like a football. That way, people know it has raisins.
