  1. Unfortunately I don't live on a 6 figure income so truffles are not within my means. Especially when covid has driven prices up on dang near everything. What little saffron I have is guarded like ft. Knox. I did find some truffle infused olive oil which goes for $20 10 Oz. bottles on Arthur Avenue in little Italy here in the Bronx.

  2. I don't know about onions in scrambled eggs. It would add a crunchy mouthfeel to eggs that are supposed to be smooth. The truffles though, absolutely. And yes, I always slow cook my scrambled eggs and fold them instead of mixing them. They're great every time.

  3. I guess it’s just me, but I hate the way Sam cooks scrambled eggs. I love the way he cooks almost everything else, but eggs the way he does them have the texture of vomit. I like mine to be a little firmer, and I don’t have to wait so long to eat them lol.

  4. If you want to make an amazing sauce for that steak, I'd highly recommend a traditional bordelaise, then add grated fresh truffle at the end, it completely transforms the sauce but it doesn't just taste like sauce + truffle, it gives it a totally new depth of flavour.
