  1. It’s the first year I’m responsible for the ham. I’m taking this recipe and using American Honey instead of Cherry Bourbon.

    It’s also the first time in family history that we aren’t using the glaze and instructions that come with the ham.. I hope my family can forgive me.

  3. Dam it, I came to Sam The Cooking Guy that literally cooks anything on being expired or what fans want to do my family ham. Freaking ham literally comes from the same animal for bacon, just different regions, jeeze. From google: The difference between Ham and Bacon starts right at the beginning of the process. Ham can be cut from the hind leg of a pig or from other parts of the carcass, so it's a slightly less specific term. Bacon is pork meat cut from parts of the pig other than the legs, such as the back, loin, collar or the belly.

  4. I wish I'd seen this video a week ago. I was wanting to find a recipe for an awesome glaze for a spiral-cut ham. It's too late for this Easter, but maybe I'll try to remember it for next year. Thank you Sam 👍

  5. Separate comment from my complaints, I have only seen hams like that, that are already fully cooked/smoked. They only need to be heated up. I have learned that the instant pot in pressure cooking mode is the best way to heat them up. You can still use your amazing looking glaze.

  6. Sam, I love your videos and how much I have learned from you, but your son Max needs to get down off his high horse. It is so cringe the way he speaks to you, it really kills the videos. Also I think he's the one that edits, and he needs to learn about audio production. With the ridiculously loud music and bass drops out of nowhere that are so much louder than the rest of the video. It is so amateur.

  7. I’ve made this a couple months ago. It was fucking awesome. I can’t wait to make this for Easter. BTW your ham recipe is so good I can use the 2 free hams I got from the grocery store and save about 150 bucks as I used to buy 2 hams from the Honey Baked Ham store. Now that is some EFIN STCG Value!!!

  8. My 10 year old daughter & I watch your videos after dinner almost every night. When there is nothing new we go back and watch older videos. We love all the video work and banter from behind the cameras. Please keep doing what you are doing.

  9. The website recipe for this is a little scuffed. Doesn't mention the Mustard for the Glaze and it doesn't mention covering the ham for the 90 minute cook. It also repeats the instructions (though minorly different between the repeats) for the Glaze.
