  1. Saffron…? Right…!!! First, I'll have to sell the family dog to cover the cost…!!! Great episode…!!! I think I'll just skip the saffron bit and go with some tumeric and sweet paprika..? Maybe…?

  2. Recipe below: instead of griping about a recipe I'm including it here to help Make America cook Great Again!!
    Dinner for two:
    Three small tails, shell cut down the back center and crack open like a pistachio but leaving shell on.
    1.5C chicken broth plus 1/2 C water
    Bring to a boil
    Drop heat, drop in tails, with shell.
    Simmer 2.5 mins (should be mostly covered)
    When cool, remove meat, set aside.
    Return shells to the stock and continue simmering for 20 mins.
    Bloom a 1/2 tsp of saffron in 1/4C hot stock.

    Heat a fry pan with butter, dash of oil.
    Add finely diced 1/2 onion. For a couple mins.
    1T garlic paste
    Add 1/2C arborio rice. Stir in. Reduce to a simmer.

    Strain out the stock.
    Add a ladle of stock to the rice. Stir until absorbed.
    Add another ladle. Repeat with maybe up to 2C of liquid.
    You want to cook the rice to al dente.
    Add the saffron stock.
    Add lobster (diced to bite sized)
    When the desired consistency is reached, reduce heat and stir in a few knobs of butter
    Add parmesan to taste
    Season with S&P
    Plate garnished with parsley, pepper, parmesan.

    Thanks for the intro to saffron. I'm ordering some to try. I can afford a gram of it… 😉
    I've made risotto before, but this was an awesome recipe for it!
