  1. Saaaaaaam. I'm pregnant and hungry every second of every god damn day. Instead of eating nonstop, I watch these videos to torture myself because it builds character. Going to start putting it up on the TV so husband gets the hint to start cooking some real food.

  2. So I made some of that red onion jam, and holy shit it's amazing!!!!! Perfect amount of heat with the sweetness!!!! Thank you Sam!!!! You're the shit sir!!

  3. Smash gyro…ground lamb and pork or beef patty(ies) with greek seasonings, feta, tomato, raw onion, kalamata olive tapenade between the patties, and tzaziki spread on two grilled white pitas. O.M.G. Opa!!!

  4. PLEASE READ THIS ONE SAM, delicious looking smash burger and I love the idea for smash month. HOWEVER try this technique out!!when you smash the burger do a circular motion around the patty just after the initial smash. Really try to thin out the outer edges of the patty. it will make an unbelievable crust you cant beat. PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY!! Its a common technique used alot to make smash burgers. Essentially you want the edges to have a tapered edge YOU WILL LOVE THE TEXTURE

  5. Fantastic! Only thing that I would change is the cheese, going with a smoked provolone instead. Not only gives you another type of smoky flavor but also the consistency of the melted cheese will tend to help hold the carnitas together.

  6. Okay, this is pork, but I meant ground pork. Can you toss a ground pork burger into the mix?
    This does look awesome, though, and I'll make it the next time I make carnitas. Especially the chipotle jam.

  7. Does smash month include smashing things in a waffle iron? Make instant oatmeal, put whatever extras you want, smash it in the waffle iron, instantly better. If you want those odd texture scrambled egg patties you get from the drive through that you suspect came out of a carton and a 3d printer, just smash two real eggs into a waffle iron, wait about 2 mins, unless you were really hankerin’ for that extruded “egg” patty

  8. Da bomb!! One of my favorite Sam concoctions!! We didn’t have suitable bread for grilled cheese but the kings Hawaiian burger rolls added to this is a most delicious way. Thanks Sam!!!

  9. You've changed the way cook! Thank you!! Smashed month idea…Smashed Hashbrown Breakfast Sandwich! Homemade hashbrowns smashed and used in place of bread/toast, Browned breakfast sausage and egg scramble with Shredded Cheddar Cheese as the "patty" – Kathy Smith
