Wow! Your plants are huge, my plants never get this tall, usually only half of your size. I got Vittoria and Nadia variety
Make sure that wood was not pressure treated. The chemicals will seep into your plants. Very Toxic !

This is exactly what I'm about to do. We have a ton excess wood from a remodeling of my basement and I refuse to let them throw it out. I'll be using to build a raised bed/s. Like you I want to grow more things.
That is the best thing to do reuse material you can also put some more on the fence line or other vegetables. I would love to have a big enclosed garden one day. That's if I ever buy a big piece of land. I do have a lot of my herbs in my kitchen windows that'll do for now.
