  1. The recipe is gone! AHHHHHHHH!!!! I made this for Thanksgiving last year and everyone loved it. Going to make it again. Not too hard to figure out what's going on, but don't want to screw up measurements.

  2. I made this and the flavor was great… the texture of the corn was way too firm/crunchy for my liking though. Next time i may steam or boil the corn first and then char (or vice versa).

  3. Try using the teaspoon, tip down like you did with the corn, to scrape out the guts of the peppers…bonus! the jalapeño juice gets mixed in with the corn milk.

  4. U didn't say but was that 2 cups of heavy whipping cream? It looked like 2 cups in that measuring cup. Also was it all heavy whipping cream or was it mixed with whole milk?

  5. I have made this a several times and it is a absolute favorite and hit. First time I made it at a party, everyone could not stop talking about it. The charing is essential for the over the top look and flavor. Thanks @samthecookingguy.

  6. As a long time fan, I'll just say this– stop rushing. Being yelled at in a rush for 9 minutes is super annoying. Just make a fucking video. This video makes me hate you.

  7. 8:38 you have corn starch in the background right next to the pan! Lol if you’re gonna use it at least be honest and mention it because when our version doesn’t look like yours we freak out and you leave us thinking we did something wrong! Smh

  8. I’m not sure that this is creamed corn so much as creamy corn. Creamed corn has been run through a blender, or partially so. That’s the way it is here in the US south.

  9. I made this Creamed Corn tonight. Holy Shit!!! I used green chile instead of jalapeños. So so delicious!!! I was going to make it for Thanksgiving, but ended up getting sick and missing dinner. Now I have this brilliant idea to make tamales using the leftovers and adding chicken or pork. I can hardly wait to try it! Tamales are a traditional New Mexican Christmas dish. I let you know how it turns out.

  10. This was SERIOUSLY yum!!! Made for Thanksgiving, then made again tonight with beef smoked sausage for protein. AWESOME! It’s worth the time to char the corn & peppers. Superbly flavorful!

  11. I haven't tried creamed corn since I was about five years old and enthusiastically over-peppered my serving [and then my frugal grandfather made me eat it all, causing a lifelong hatred of the stuff!]. But this looks so good, I think I will try it.
