We really just have one goal – to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin – then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️

You need a nice glass of wine!
Not in the Girl Scout Camp Cookbook but if you sear the steak on a super-hot griddle or cast-iron pan, you' get that wonderful; fond to melt into the butter; you can pre-sear the steaks, chill then cube for the packets. Oh! A dollop of sour cream is a tasty topping with chopped…green onions.
We used to do this with Steak/Pork-Chops/Chicken /w/ potatoes, veggies, etc. in foil in camp-fires for years… excellent tastes…. We would grab the condiments from my mom's condiments drawer to take along camping… Chicken /w/ onions, potatoes, and broccoli in butter, hot mustard, BBQ, salt, pepper, and soy sauce… the best! Whole chickens in garlic butter… heaven!
Dammit Man!!! I just finished dinner,,, when I saw this video!
Dammit,,,, I gotta cook this now!
I don’t think that’s what a reach around is…
my mom called this Hobo fries because when she did it, the aluminum foil looked like a hobo bag on the end of a stick.
Just made this for my wife’s bday….nailed it. And I’m no Bobby Flay.
That stone cutting board is killing your knife edge.
Sam! Dude I have never cooked anything NEVER! But one wild day I surprised my wife by making this … it was easy, it was fun and most importantly she loved it!!! You are DA MAN! Thanks
Woweee I’ve moved to a new home in Bluffton SC…..waiting for my contractor to put my new built in grill. This recipe will work well for its just one pan night.
Thank you always sam. Loving your stuff
😊
i do squash zucchini and mushroom foil packets with garlic butter salt pepper steak seasoning on the grill and they are amazing. This also looked good.
When I was a kid we had a campout sleepover on our farm and my mom made these in buffet form. She chopped a bunch of meat and veggies and each kid could pick what they wanted in their foil packet, it was a blast!
"…parsley sage, rosemary, and thyme…" missed opportunity. could've called it the Scarborough" or "S&G" butter (if ya add a little sage of course).
Looks insanely delicious
Sam, love your channel. I have been cooking like this camping for years. I call them hobo packs! One of the greatest ways to cook on the fire!
Where did you get your shirt I love it
If you did this in the oven how would you do it My dad used to do this with hamburger back in the 70’s
Throw it on some white rice
Can't find the Soy paste… any substitution? Thanks
Talk about memories, I used to do this 40 years ago while traveling. I would lay the foil pack carefully on the engine and drive for 30 or 40 minutes and then stop and flip it over and drive some more .Hot lunch at a rest stop hit the spot. Thanks for your programs!
Can you throw it on a hot pan and get the same result?
I like making these when I go camping. They are easy and really tasty. I make them with chicken too.
Geese it’s like sex looks fucking awesome!!!!!
Making this for dinner tomorrow,!! was going to anyway maybe over the weekend but really had my mouth watering with dipping the garlic bread into the juices
Can you put this in the oven?
Nice shirt! The recipe was good too. Can never have too much garlic bread.
Sam, I prepared this for my family tonight and I must say…
Damn Son!
Thank you!!! I can’t wait to make more of your backyard grill delicacies. 😊
hobo stew…make these for camping all the time…
Depending on the grill, medium high can go as high as 400°F. So, if you wanted to, you could use your oven at about 375°F for those 7-8 minutes per side. You'll get pretty much the same result, and the bonus is that you can do this in the winter, when the snow is halfway up to your doorknob. Foil packet meals have been a staple in my house for decades. It's a shame that it's a lost art.
My dad always called these "hobo" potato meals. Just chuck it in a wrap of tin foil and throw it on the fire. Do that for the weekend and you have full meals they were amazing and easy while fishing
Looks phenomenal an eezy peezy
Very funny! Can’t wait to try
I enjoyed the video, but how would I make this in the oven? What time and temperature?
Classy shirt….grow up man and learn some morals…….might be kids watching. …..
Made this last time we went camping turned out AMAZING! Awesome video!
Nobody has this shit in their house
When I was 9 or 10 back in the early 70's I was in the Royal Rangers. We would make something similar and freeze it and then take it for the first night meal when backpacking. Threw it in a fire pit to heat.
I would use the red potatoes instead of the yellow ones. I think there'll be a little bit tastier. Or I might be wrong but I will try it
I always use soy sauce on red meat!
You poached a steak? What a tool.
Is there an unedited version with all the cuss words lol??
love the channel guys More camping dishes please.
@8:10 Ooooooooooohhhhh!!!!!!
Where does Sam post these recipe's? I don't see it on his website.
