We really just have one goal – to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.

If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin – then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.

Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

THANK YOU ❗️

  1. Not in the Girl Scout Camp Cookbook but if you sear the steak on a super-hot griddle or cast-iron pan, you' get that wonderful; fond to melt into the butter; you can pre-sear the steaks, chill then cube for the packets. Oh! A dollop of sour cream is a tasty topping with chopped…green onions.

  2. We used to do this with Steak/Pork-Chops/Chicken /w/ potatoes, veggies, etc. in foil in camp-fires for years… excellent tastes…. We would grab the condiments from my mom's condiments drawer to take along camping… Chicken /w/ onions, potatoes, and broccoli in butter, hot mustard, BBQ, salt, pepper, and soy sauce… the best! Whole chickens in garlic butter… heaven!

  3. Sam! Dude I have never cooked anything NEVER! But one wild day I surprised my wife by making this … it was easy, it was fun and most importantly she loved it!!! You are DA MAN! Thanks

  4. Woweee I’ve moved to a new home in Bluffton SC…..waiting for my contractor to put my new built in grill. This recipe will work well for its just one pan night.
Thank you always sam. Loving your stuff

  5. When I was a kid we had a campout sleepover on our farm and my mom made these in buffet form. She chopped a bunch of meat and veggies and each kid could pick what they wanted in their foil packet, it was a blast!

  6. "…parsley sage, rosemary, and thyme…" missed opportunity. could've called it the Scarborough" or "S&G" butter (if ya add a little sage of course).

  7. Talk about memories, I used to do this 40 years ago while traveling. I would lay the foil pack carefully on the engine and drive for 30 or 40 minutes and then stop and flip it over and drive some more .Hot lunch at a rest stop hit the spot. Thanks for your programs!

  8. Depending on the grill, medium high can go as high as 400°F. So, if you wanted to, you could use your oven at about 375°F for those 7-8 minutes per side. You'll get pretty much the same result, and the bonus is that you can do this in the winter, when the snow is halfway up to your doorknob. Foil packet meals have been a staple in my house for decades. It's a shame that it's a lost art.

  9. My dad always called these "hobo" potato meals. Just chuck it in a wrap of tin foil and throw it on the fire. Do that for the weekend and you have full meals they were amazing and easy while fishing

  10. When I was 9 or 10 back in the early 70's I was in the Royal Rangers. We would make something similar and freeze it and then take it for the first night meal when backpacking. Threw it in a fire pit to heat.
