  1. I know this isn’t Hawaii style, but I make a good cold pasta salad. It’s called Elote Salad. Mexican street corn salad. So good. It would pair well with any bbq. Here’s the recipe: 4 corn on the cob charred on the bbq and stripped. You can pan sear it, but bbq is the best way to get the kernels gold/blackened. I use more than 4, usually I use 6 ears of corn to 1 pound of noodles. I use Rotini, but you can use any noodles.
    1 pound of cooked noodles
    5 ears of corn stripped
    1 finely diced red onion,
    1/2 cup or more of loosely packed cilantro diced, I just cut the leaves only up with kitchen scissors.
    1/4 cup of green onion diced ( kitchen scissors can dice green onion easily)

    Dressing:
    1 cup of sour cream,
    1/2 cup kewpie mayo,
    1-2 cloves of fresh garlic grated,
    Juice of half a lime
    1-2 teaspoons of chilli powder,
    1-2 teaspoons cumin,
    1 teaspoon of tajin
    1/2 cup or more of cotija cheese folded in last. Do not substitute cotija.
    Sometimes I’ll add a sprinkle of olive oil to make the dressing coat the noodles better, but that’s optional. I got the original recipe off a girl on TikTok, however I modded it. She used frozen corn which comes out gross and mushy in my opinion. I tried it that way the first time. I always add a little more spices.
    You can play around with the spices, that’s my go to for many times I’ve made this salad, and troubleshooting. My husband likes it so much he won’t share. I usually make 2 pounds of it lol. It lasts a few days in the fridge. Enjoy!

  2. That Japanese Style 👉👉 Cause Hawaiians don't use SOY SAUCE.. Witch is good to > but I'am not a fan of SOY SAUCE > If i'am making ASIA STYLE FOODS > Yes i use soy sauce > Other wise HELL NO

  3. Just make sure to rinse off the rib bones and meat. This is to wash out the tiny pieces or granules of bone that’s present in the meat from when they cut the ribs thin.
    Also, so you don’t grind your teeth with those tiny pieces of bone.
    I love eating those type of ribs. Nice

I CAN EAT THIS HAWAIIN TERAYAKI glaze SHORT RIB'S EVERY DAY 3 TIME'S A DAY I USE TO GO TO MY LOCAL HAWAIIN BBQ SPOT BUT NOW I CAN BUY 10 SHORT RIB'S FOR 30$ AND EAT ALL DAY N FOR THE NEXT DAY N MINES COME OUT BETTER, I JUST EAT IT WITH STEAM RICE N GREEN ONION'S I HAVE YET TO TRY TO MAKE MACARONI WITH IT

  6. Local kalbi, pretty much a staple at all of the Korean BBQ restaurants here on the islands. Also pro tip is to overcook the macaroni when making the mac salad, comes out better that way

  7. You should still try and go to Hawaii! My wife and I went at the end of Oct '21 and the locals are down bad without the tourism! They want more tourists! If the conditions improve, you should go, all teh taxis/guides/staff anyone was super friendly and nice just to see people traveling again.
