  1. Just saw this because I had to goggle the recipe because my Nonna made this and I can’t remember how. God bless your Nonna and I’m so happy you still have the luxury of her being with you. The fact that you also learned the language is beautiful. I got robbed because they always said “English around the babies!!” I found out because they felt we’d be treated differently. My God were they wrong. Thanks for posting this. It was a real help and pleasure to watch.

  2. We made this last night and it was fantastic. 🤤 My husband mentioned putting cheese throughout and not just on top, so we might try that next time. Thanks for sharing Laura’s Nonna! It was delicious. ❤

  3. Wow! My Mom never made it like that baked in the oven with Mozzarella cheese and breadcrumbs on top. I'd like to try making it like this. This way is something new to me.

  4. I haven't seen the "delicious" gesture since I was little, roughly 55 years ago. My mom looks just like your nonna. I completely understand the difficulty in pinning down recipes because the nonnas never measure. This video brought back a lot of memories. Thank you!

  5. I found out about pasta e patate from some move or show and it literally is my favorite type of pasta ever!!!!! Idk why it's such a variant of pasta and I love that is super rustic, even too Italians.

  6. Ogni persona come la tua bella nonna, e una encilopedia del sapere. Dobbiamo stare vicino a loro, perche noi dobbiamo imparare.
Give my best regards to your nonna. You do a fantastic show. I have been following you from Malta for the past 8 years at least. Thanks

  7. My mom made this. She broke up linquini or spaghetti into 4” pieces in this. It was so good. My mom never baked hers. It was slightly thickened though. Everything my family cooked was by eye, rarely measured. On a cold night, coming home to that was great. My
Mom’s Mom was from Northern Italy. My Dad’s family was from Sicily. You know it was all delicious cooking by both sides of my family. Omg!!!

Smoked mozzerella. Delicious. Any smoked cheese is great!

  8. I am eating this as I type. It is delicious and satisfying. Thank you and your Nonna! I will be bringing it to my 90 year old mother tomorrow for lunch. I’m sure she will love it.
