My Italian g ma never measured -best cook ever
And having eaten triple carbs (no matter how luscious and tasty), book yourself into the Diabetic Clinic ……
Just saw this because I had to goggle the recipe because my Nonna made this and I can’t remember how. God bless your Nonna and I’m so happy you still have the luxury of her being with you. The fact that you also learned the language is beautiful. I got robbed because they always said “English around the babies!!” I found out because they felt we’d be treated differently. My God were they wrong. Thanks for posting this. It was a real help and pleasure to watch.
We made this last night and it was fantastic. 🤤 My husband mentioned putting cheese throughout and not just on top, so we might try that next time. Thanks for sharing Laura’s Nonna! It was delicious. ❤
This nonna looks a little frazzled. 😅😅😅😅. Love the nail polish 💅
My grandfather did the same thing as your nonna when something was delicious…..turning the index finger back & forth into the cheek🥰🇮🇹
My mom made this different but delicious non the less ❤
yeah garlic is more an asian thing. im korean and we will eat it literally raw with bean paste 😂
Wow! My Mom never made it like that baked in the oven with Mozzarella cheese and breadcrumbs on top. I'd like to try making it like this. This way is something new to me.
You are a very good Team to see you two together and be sure you include Mia also sometimes. 3 Generations ❤
the secret is: doing it many many times
Your grandma she looks great 😊 I make pasta e patate I’m going to make it like this thank for sharing
Great episode! Thank you for your candor and your time. Your family is just precious. We are not worthy.
your nonna is so precious. i wish i had had a grandma, my grandparents passed away before i was born or when i was very young.
i wish i could cook like that honestly! its so amazing to just go into the kitchen and cook, not having to think about every step yk?
Thank You, Looks Delicious.
I haven't seen the "delicious" gesture since I was little, roughly 55 years ago. My mom looks just like your nonna. I completely understand the difficulty in pinning down recipes because the nonnas never measure. This video brought back a lot of memories. Thank you!
Love the mix of languages! Nonna is so cute ☺️
Thank you for teaching people that some things in culinary do not involve measurements, just feeling 🙂
I found out about pasta e patate from some move or show and it literally is my favorite type of pasta ever!!!!! Idk why it's such a variant of pasta and I love that is super rustic, even too Italians.
Bella nonna
Ciao Laura!!
That Napoletano/southern dialect is sooooo awesome. Che brava e bella Nonna! 😍
Markus

My mother never measured either, she just said watch me.❤
❤️
She is such a sweetheart 💕. Cherish every moment with her. God Bless you both with many more year's of cooking together..You'll always have great memories.
Ogni persona come la tua bella nonna, e una encilopedia del sapere. Dobbiamo stare vicino a loro, perche noi dobbiamo imparare.
Give my best regards to your nonna. You do a fantastic show. I have been following you from Malta for the past 8 years at least. Thanks
it's funny how Nonna is so tempted to grab the spoon and take charge…..true cook at heart…
Aaaaaaagh! Nonna is so darn adorable. Love her. Sweet watching the two of you cook together. More of Nonna please!
My mom made this. She broke up linquini or spaghetti into 4” pieces in this. It was so good. My mom never baked hers. It was slightly thickened though. Everything my family cooked was by eye, rarely measured. On a cold night, coming home to that was great. My
Mom’s Mom was from Northern Italy. My Dad’s family was from Sicily. You know it was all delicious cooking by both sides of my family. Omg!!!
Smoked mozzerella. Delicious. Any smoked cheese is great!
Nona’s nails are on point😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Use her hands as measuring. Ask her to make a handful or a pinch then have her drop it in a scale. From there you have a ball park.
Made this tonight… So yummy. I’ve been waiting for the right time. COVID this last week we needed some comfort food! Boy was it good.
I’m simply fascinated watching you and your Italian family cook. Lovely!!❤️❤️❤️
I am eating this as I type. It is delicious and satisfying. Thank you and your Nonna! I will be bringing it to my 90 year old mother tomorrow for lunch. I’m sure she will love it.
Love you Laura and nonna cooking togeatherxxx
Your nonna is exactly like how mine was. It was always "oh a little bit of this, a little bit of that" lol
Great recipe! Thank you for sharing the recipe
Your Nona is too cute with that Italian expression of pushing the index finger into her cheek !
Yummy 😋
Laura please tell me the name of the smoked cheese used I could not tell what you said
Laura speaking in Italian is giving me life thank you for sharing with us your Nonna
I love it when you explain to us Italians don’t keep whole garlic cloves in the dishes and your nonna is just like :”eh”… 😀
