  1. My dad's family is Polish and Ukranian, so I grew up with homemade pierogies!! I remember we would take a whole day and make about 300 of them. We'd wrap them in packets of two and fill shoe boxes with them, and store them in our spare fridge's freezer in the basement. We'd use potatoes and extra sharp cheddar cheese with A LOT of sauteed onions in the mix. A LOT!! Then we'd brown them in butter in a skillet, and serve with a large amount of onions sauteed in butter, enough to have some onion in every bite!! Yum!! Also, we served them with sour cream for dipping. 😋
